Rogue Rules

Take this time tell
To so test yourself
Are you being you
Or someone else
What’s important
Is remembering
Center mind to
Free everything
Flying high on it
A cloud of truth
Is evil’s undoing
If you can do it
But you must run
With wind to win
Outpace all fears
Facing past sins
Strip off shackles
Throw old blinds
Become as is born
In birthright reborn

Going Solo

If you ever felt now so alone
And thought no one did care
If ever you were dealt a blow
That took you down in there

Tears stream for no reason
When one is all out of luck
But it pays to mind it really
That only you got you stuck

Because no one else exists
You are the only one left
Only you stand this room
In fact this was all the test

To see if you could realize
That the world’s an illusion
And everything was a dream
To see how you would use it

So go out into the wilderness
Of reality for the first time then
Knowing now life lives in you
With a will bent on fulfillment

Me & My Old Man

Fell down those old steps tripped
A little kid just out of one’s reach
When we lived out at the beach
But my father caught me he did

Broke out on my own with a pack
Of wolves in my teens cutting
My teeth in my youthful wilds
While my dad did his best pass

Coming into my own middle ages
Grew resentful of all the anger
And yet conflicted by the graces
Finally to learn none’s an angel

Now me and my old man can do talk
Like friends on a walk on the dock
Looking out over the last horizons
Of life reconciling its surprises

Me and my old man will never be like
The same again and so goes life
Lies and laughs line up to fire
As every last little spark retires

But one thing to be said at end is
Just as messy as life gets it’s this
That no matter what goes down now
You know you are loved despite how

We do our best when raising us up
We set us free and then pull us up
We stand our ground as we feel best
But ultimately time tells the test

Of whether you will grow into a man
Be your own self apart from any plan
The boy must go away in order to stand
In order to right himself by his own hand

Welcome Home

Your eyes open, and you see the light
Nothing like what, it would be like

Never mind those old, notions of time
Time to rewind, to when we were fine

Sever every sense, of sound and rhyme
Censor nothing but, the ring of right

Rise above all tides, changing lanes
Lies so laced, with fates unchained

Welcome home … Come back to the unknown
Never mind those thoughts, you held so close
Every line lost track, once you crossed over
Welcome home … Welcome home …
We all come back, to the place …
We were born …

instrumental

Welcome home … Come back to the unknown
Never mind those thoughts, you held so close
Every line lost track, once you crossed over
Welcome home … Welcome home …
We all come back, to the place …
We were born …

So life begins again, in some seed now
Each and every breath, brings up tomorrow

Each and every day, we do our best to breed
Another living soul, for our time and need

Nobody wants to leave, until they are full
Nobody wants to live, until they feel ill

Everything comes down, to do or die trying
In the end we will drown, or dive into fire

bridge

But what is the point, of it all, in the end
There has to be, another meaning, to the bend

There must be, another chapter, after we’ve left
When the lessons, become clearer, over the cliff

Welcome home … Come back to the unknown
Never mind those thoughts, you held so close
Every line lost track, once you crossed over
Welcome home … Welcome home …
We all come back, to the place …
We were born …

It All Comes Back To You

First there is an awakening
Then there is a divide

Between thought and intuition
Beyond reason insight

It all comes back to you
Once you cross that river
But who will remember you
Unless you live life
On the line

Walk on that wire of hope
So you can feed your soul

Talk not of anything else
But what keeps you whole

(Bridge)

We wake up in a cloud of dreams
Hitting the ground running free

It’s up to us to be ourselves see
Before we lose life to the seas

It all comes back to you
Once you cross that river
But who will remember you
Unless you live life
On the line

Just Wing It

Never judge it, just wing it

If you can feel it, just sing it

Never budge, or be someone else

After the light, just be yourself

Just wing it x 9

Transparent Times

{title:Transparent Times} {subtitle:Gelinas/Torrington} Each and every day blending in Neverending waves of lost innocence No matter how hard we try We begin again, we end up giving in To the comforts of forgetting Separate and the same is everything Skipping stones over our endless stillness Whoever is to blame for causing anything Ought to be ashamed for paying so much attention To the comforts of forgetting Everyone run through these transparent times The harder we fall, the higher we climb And then one dies, and another one comes alive It’s just another way of saying that we survived Oh these transparent times These transparent times Paper dragons flying in the fire place Embers of remberance of fallen dreams Blind children are marching into memories We’re killing off our darlings for posterity Everyone run through these transparent times The harder we fall, the higher we climb And then one dies, and another one comes alive It’s just another way of saying that we survived Oh these transparent times These transparent times {c:Instrumental} Everyone run through these transparent times The harder we fall, the higher we climb And then one dies, and another one comes alive It’s just another way of saying that we survived Oh these transparent times These transparent times Oh these transparent times These transparent times Oh these transparent times These transparent times Oh these transparent times These transparent times

Here Is What You’re Here For

We don’t need, to negotiate,
We don’t need to, so negate,
All the ways, we differentiate,
We can accept, different ways …

You were meant, for better things,
You were born, for higher rings,
Lines on time, command you now,
To be the best, you can somehow …

Here is What, You’re Here For,
Here is What, You’re Here For,

Nothing promised, but be sure,
Everything wanted, evermore …
Not to say, we’re all in the clear,
But be certain, future’s assured.

The Heydays Of Halcyon Nights

We hit the walk talking, about nothing,

But what comes, what may on, in stride,

Just trying, to keep the old, buzz going,

Before the next day, drove out, the tide.

We lit the smoke, and looked to, the sky,

Illuminated by, a new moon, passing by.

Night was, the right time, to be reborn,

Before tomorrow, took it, away, in turn,

In the heydays, of our halcyon, nights,

We were more, innocent, next to, tonight,

But the right way, to reason, with time,

Is to realize, we’re still, the same inside,

We sat by, the intersection, of fate, and folly,

Fuelled by, the alcohol, of late, light-posts,

Alchemy, and happenstance, led us each all,

To our yesterdays, and what we, love most.

Hang In There

It may feel like, a high line,

To go and hang up, your hat,

It may steel your, old spine,

To remember, untold pasts.

You may kneel on, tonight,

You may steer, right back,

You may crawl, outward,

Or climb in, downward.

We all come to, grips with,

The way of a wild, old wind,

In our own time, on a wisp,

Our own divine, little twists,

But if you could, just hang out,

Hang on with me, a little while,

We will get through this, now,

We’ll make our mothers, proud.

Hang in there, friend to the end,

Another day in rain, sending over,

Signals to stars, we are forever:

We’ll never bow, to the weather.

You Do What You Can

You catch a stroke of luck,

Then the match it breaks,

Shivering by a firepit cold,

Waiting for dawn to take.

You lose another heartsong,

Sent back down in despair,

But then a songbird warbles,

And up fly dozen in the air.

When things are in or so far out,

Whether wings or worries now,

Whether sunup or so sundown,

We do what we can to carry on.

You’re flying high on wind,

Whimsical and worry-free,

When suddenly lightning,

Strikes a world under feet.

You’re dying to dig up out,

Trying all everything now,

When finally a font spout,

Looses you from the bow.

Learn To Let It Go

Maybe you met, some hardship,

Maybe you parted, ways,

With a friend, and then,

The hardest part, was to pretend,

That it was always, meant to end.

Tell me you let, sun set too long,

Tell me your, darkest days.

With an ear and heart,

I will listen to the pain, and parse,

Lines to find, the rain on the mend.

There was once a world, like yours,

Some of us walked, before.

Some of us fell, behind,

But some so rose up, strong again,

With help of stranger, and a friend.

And the advice, we were given,

The sage wisdom, more,

Likened, ancient lore:

What we hold on to, we become,

And what let go, we overcome.

You’ve got to learn, to let it go:

Let it go, and be done.

Run, from the demons.

Be one, with the sun, in season,

For no reason, but kingdom come.

BOOK 1 Song 6: So The Dragon Rises (Again In Time) – Schuster / Torr 2021

Whoever awakens, my slumber,

Will now forever, be destroyed …

Whoever takes away, my wonder,

Will forever regret, their words …

This will end in, no good bend,

For the better, for the other man,

As I rise up to, thwart all treason,

Against my life, soul, and season …

So the Dragon rises, inside of me,

Dragon rises, rekindling dreams,

Dragon rises, none stand in, way,

Dragon, in me, rises, this very, day …

Deny I any other, the right to mercy,

Deny I any last, monster grace for free,

Deny I every cast, encounter easy pass,

For now I’m past, all pathos, for peace,

So the Dragon rises, inside of me,

Dragon rises, rekindling dreams,

Dragon rises, none stand in, way,

Dragon, in me, rises, this very, day …

Ninety-Nine Young

Take a check, a turn of divining,
In the middle, of this old mess,
In the space, between the lines,
Where races run, out of breath.

Stop and stare, at yourself now,
In the mirror, amidst this new hell,
And let out a sigh, of self-doubt.
Let every last, worry drain down.

Check your years, past and cast,
Out to the end, long planned act,
Denouement into darkness, relief,
Solace, in what remains to seek.

Ninety-nine years, a drop of rain,
A sign-post at, crossing of change.
A wisp of wisdom, all it ever takes,
To remember, revisit yourself again.

The Pyramids Of Pride

Pointing up, to a night sky,
A canopy, of twinkling stars,
The mystery, of the pyramids,
Remains, so unsolved tonight.

Annointing history, in mystery,
Enticing us, to cast back rays,
Of thought upon, where we came,
From, sands of time’s old grains.

Lines drawn, in the aftermaths,
Of civilizations seeded, before,
Sketch out, cosmic processions,
As we etch our names, in today.

The pyramids of pride, rise up,
In every millenia, of evolution,
As humankind achieves, its apex,
Again and again, in time’s tides.

The Myth Of Legends

The Myth Of Legends – Wade/Torr

You may think, there’s no right, or wrong,

There’s no God or Grave, there’s no song.

You may wish, to list it all, as a feather,

On a gust of wind, in the fall, of forever.

You may choose to challenge, eternal chains,

To change what chance, may bring to claims,

To go against the grain, wherever it grows,

Wherever, the course of day, forever flows.

But life catches up, all fishers of fable,

As the fissures, of reality, disassemble,

The fabric of morality, and myths of time,

Casting them unto, blue seas, so sublime.

So stand your ground, at the far precipice,

As you wish, for your agency, is your gift,

But be forewarned, the future is forsaken,

To those who dismiss, the mantle of Maker.

Come Home

Follow Your Crows Home To Roost (Torr/MacD)

So somewhere, in the middle of life,
You begin then, to remember the light,
When you first so, entered the world,
And set flight upon, ley lines alive.

Sometime then, in the mix of it all,
You return to, your center’s resolve,
You remind yourself, of an old calling,
Following your crows home, by the fall.

Come home to roost, when you feel down.
We will be there for you, have no doubt.
Together, we will settle, into the night,
Resurrecting, as one, a will for flight.

Follow your crows home, to roost son,
To flock together, as a family, as one,
To talk of tales, of your daily, runs,
Until the bell, of nightfall, is rung.

Come home to roost, when you feel down.
We will be there for you, have no doubt.
Together, we will settle, into the night,
Resurrecting, as one, a will for flight.

Footprints On The Water

Footprints On The Water

None are saved, sparing, a saviour,
No one finds, salvation, all alone,
No one mind, can tend to, end times,
Unless there, comes one, so divined,

Done are days, of hollow, splendor,
Done are ways, of following, first,
We are now, set in waves, of wonder,
Where we will go, from here in turn,

Footprints, on the water, walk on,
Cross that tide, take that, stride,
Onto the, other side, of paradise,
Where there, must be more, to life …

Footprints, on the water, walk on,
Footprints, on the water, walk on,
Footprints, on the water, walk on,
Footprints, on the water, walk on,

Once we wake, we will be, hereafter,
Once lay claim, to love, is all matter,
All that must come, will become, undone,
Once we jump, the gun on, sunup’s return.

Footprints, on the water, walk on,
Cross that tide, take that, stride,
Onto the, other side, of paradise,
Where there, must be more, to life …

Footprints, on the water, walk on,
Footprints, on the water, walk on,
Footprints, on the water, walk on,
Footprints, on the water, walk on,

Surf Punk

Surf Punk (Torr/Jacques)

Waves washing, over me,
No matter how, high now,
Sun never sets, on seas,
Surfboards, in the clouds,

Back to fun, all at once,
Back to, one more dance,
Back to, one more chance,
To make life, live again,

Surf punk, drunk on sun,
Slam dunk, whatever comes,
Under the, influence of,
Breakers, on the run …

Beach bum, forever on,
To each his, own drum,
To each his, own love,
To each his, own song,

Girls come, and they go,
Beers brew, in undertow,
Be free, no matter all,
That may flee, or recall,

Surf punk, drunk on sun,
Slam dunk, whatever comes,
Under the, influence of,
Breakers, on the run …

Warrior

warrior, this war is yours
to win, one way or another
warrior, this time is yours
to rewind, the hand and hour
warrior … warrior …
warrior … … …

into battle you cry, up to the sky
every last breath, willing to die
every little death, lighting a fire
inside, rising again, all the higher

to win, one way or another

Tecumseh

Tecumseh By Ian Rring

Born under meteor showers, in 1768,
He was raised witness to, imperial ways,
And many horrors, from an early age,
So soon Tecumseh, had a war to wage.

But he was truly, a peaceful man inside,
Never tolerating, torture in his prisons,
And he tried endlessly, to compromise,
With Henry Harrison’s, Governorship.

So save us soon, Tecumseh,
For we all need you now,
Come back and lead us out,
From under darkened clouds.
Come back soon, Tecumseh.
Come back soon, Tecumseh.

Known as Crouching Panther, or shooting star,
He had a plan in mind, for an Indian Clan accord,
And he traveled four years, calling for unity afar,
Saying sticks were stronger, when tied together,

And he believed that, Native Americans,
Were all children of, the same parents,
And all owned the land, in common,
So selling it individually, was invalid.

And everytime he prepared, to speak aloud,
Crowds swiftly grew soft, in profound silence,
As if the Old Indian Spirit, Waashaa Monetoo,
Was communicating to them, through him now.

And when Big Warrior’s doubt, was plain,
That the Great Monetoo had sent, Tecumseh,
The Chief stamped his foot, and fell a town,
Just to prove his mission, was preordained.

But despite being, a great Orator,
And reluctantly donning, the mantle of warrior,
He couldn’t overcome, his dissenters,
Or his Prophet brother, disobeying his orders.

Then Harrison took, Tippencanoe,
And Tenskwatawa, lost favour, too,
By falsely prophesizing, immunity,
Against the advance of the enemy.

And in the end, Tecumseh died defending Canada,
Alongside the fleeing British, against Americans,
Who outnumbered them down, to the final ends,
And outgunned them against, every last, tribal plan.

And Tecumseh said ….

So live your life, that the fear of death, can never enter your heart.
Trouble no one about their religion; respect others in their views, and
Demand that they respect yours. Love your life, perfect your life,
Beautify all things in your life. Seek to make your life long and
Its purpose in the service of your people.
Prepare a noble death song for the day when you go over the great divide.
Always give a word or a sign of salute when meeting or passing a friend,
Even a stranger, when in a lonely place. Show respect to all people and
Bow to none. When you arise in the morning, give thanks for the food and
For the joy of living. If you see no reason for giving thanks,
The fault lies only in yourself. Abuse no one and nothing,
For abuse turns the wise ones to fools and robs the spirit of its vision.
When it comes your time to die, be not like those whose hearts
Are filled with fear of death, so that when their time comes
They weep and pray for a little more time to live their lives over again
In a different way. Sing your death song and die like a hero going home.

Spring Hollow

Spring Hollow (Demo 1.0) – @[567895544:2048:Marcel Gelinas]

“There used to be a wishing well,
downstream from London, Ontario,
Where a local legend once fabled,
that your dreams could be unveiled,

“But goblins lurked in gurgling brooks,
and loved misinterpreting our requests,
For words were purposefully mistook,
for us wanting opposite what we’d asked,

“Spring Hollow …!
Our valley’s lost its wishing well …
But a spirit remains, in the falling rain …
So when it storms, we’ll pray …
Paradise be reborn again someday …
So when it storms we’ll pray …
Paradise be reborn again someday …

“See, with just one lonely wish to burn,
just one last sip from your crystal lip,
I’d want the wind to turn a new birth,
and nature once more restored to earth …

“So please don’t misunderstand me now,
I only want the best for us all somehow
For there’s no gardens without humanity
yet we need the air as much as anything …

We Were Where We Were

We Were Where We Were

Hold fast for nothing is new
Some just cast a shadow or two
But nothing ever passes unensued
As all become forever renewed

Low roll the dice all along
Slowly unfolding life’s long song
Some never see how history repeats
For it always seems so revealing …

But we were … Where we were …
Where we were ….
For where there’s fire …
There’s sure to be burns …
And we change … Just to remain …
Living by the same old reigns …
More at home with the rain …
Where we were … We were …
Where we were …
We were … Where we were
Where we were …

No we’ll never change our ways
We’re too lost in our grains
At a loss for words to explain
Why we always end up the same …

So we stumble on into these days
We never fail to fumble with Fate
New or old ever we wake up erased
For Dawn keeps forever reframing ..

Your Next Like

We’ve really lost it now
We’ve come full circle
Broken every vow
So long to impossible

You’ve really done it now
Little did you know it then
But the time to be opening up
You spent dreaming online

Only As Good As Your Next Like
Only As Good As Your Next Like

Only As Good As Your Next Like
Only As Good As Your Next Like

We needn’t be so cold
We’ve come to know
Every nuance of life
Every up and down alike

All we’ve got is time
To set it straight tonight
No need for egos inside
Signs we’ve lost our sight

Only As Good As Your Next Like (Repeated)

Never let your soul ebb
To the black hole of the net
The only true joy in life is
Meeting up in person …

We are social creatures
Longing for life together
Dying to lose each other
Praying for our futures

Only as good as …

Pull the cord
Go outdoors more
Throw the net
Overboard

Be sure to follow
the word
never insist
on assurances

throw it up
one last time
don’t give up
on divining

you are human
to the heart
no room for
the dying arts …

Jack Frost Cometh

Behind the curtain
the curfew calls
willing us to settle in
for the cold

no no one ever
did kneel so bold
as to crawl their way
forever home

sign in to the afterlife
if you must
but dust comes to what
we give up

such is life if you live it
to stay in it
never any secret key
to the moments

more going on than we know
more to these timeless old souls
more to those who do lose control
just to grab a hold of the world
more to the pattern
than all coincidence
more to what matters
being heaven sent
ending up in liberty
do we all succeed
never was there anything
but to be free
more going on than we know
more going on than we know
more to these timeless old souls
more going on than we know

some will say it’s hopeless
so some cry
some fly on before their time
but why

because we seek
for better minds on high
lying down is one of
the better ways to die

so there’s more going on than we know
but some sense enough of our love to show
they run up our last miles stll smiling down
once in awhile content to hold humble crowns

more going on than we know
more to these timeless old souls
more to those who do lose control
just to grab a hold of the world
more to the pattern
than all coincidence
more to what matters
being heaven sent
ending up in liberty
do we all succeed
never was there anything
but to be free
more going on than we know
more going on than we know
more to these timeless old souls
more going on than we know

it matters not what
it all means in the end
my friend we’ve been through this
time and time again

with some elbow grease
or hearts up your sleeve
seeds do show everybody knows
it’s all a dream

more to the point
why not just rock this joint
just as we break down
we break out the poem

there’s another realm of reason
side to this coin
encourage no redemption
short of enjoyment

Bonfire (2005)

The flames were licking my face

as I gazed over the human race

every trace of humanity was gone

and all the rights worsened the wrongs

Bonfire you’ve gone higher

than we ever expected

here burning down

there churning up

and when you’re done with us

will there be any left of it?

I tried to place these visions I had seen

into perspective with our earlier dreams

But everything blurred into obscurity

as the future turned into history

Different From Morn To Dusk

Different (From Morn to Dusk)
[Rev. 2, ’13-’16]

So you said … That I didn’t seem …
Like I had even changed … At all …
But I ain’t never … Been the same …
Since the second that … You called …

Last time that … We talked so long …
You were rolling … Ten feet tall …
While I was lower … Than below …
Inside the belly … Of that old fall …

So I swear I’m … Different today …
From morning into … The dusk … …
Everyday is just … A throw away …
Before we do turn … Into dust …

So see here … By my own vow …
I know now … For so sure how …
I’m not that … Former one found …
You knew once … Before now …

But whoever is … Willing to say …
I may never … Sow my change …
By my very self .. On any day…
Gives me every reason to erase …

Different from …
Morning to dusk …
I’m different from
Morn to dusk …

Different from …
Morning to dusk …
I’m different from
Morn to dusk …

But time is so wild … Fleeting for fools …
Blind to what wiles … A second is due …
Who would go … So ignore these rules …
When games do play … Their choosers?

The world is now … So wild underfoot …
It’s amazing how … You remembered me …
But I am someone that .. You never met
Same skin yet … Less those old regrets …

See here … By my own vow …
I know now … For sure how …
I’m not that … Former person …
That you knew … Before once…

But who’s ever … Now to say …
That I may not … So change …
By myself .. On this very day…
All the more … Less the pain …

Different from …
Morning to dusk …
I’m different from
Morn to dusk …

Different from …
Morning to dusk …
I’m different from
Morn to dusk …

So don’t underestimate … Life …
How time twists it … In hindsight …
I’ve lived a hundred odd … Lives
Since we were .. An item in time …

No don’t ever … Lose those stakes …
Leaving someone … At those gates …
For the rest of these … Mortal races …
You’ll ascend in them … By awakening …

See here … By my own vow …
I know now … For sure how …
I’m not that former person found …
That you knew … Before once…

But who’s ever … Now to say …
That I may not … So change …
By myself .. On this very day…
All the more … Less the pain …

Different from …
Morning to dusk …
I’m different from
Morn to dusk …

Different from …
Morning to dusk …
I’m different from
Morn to dusk …

Our Love Is Evergreen

So listen not to forecasts, of a dark winter.

For is it not more to fashion, brighter dawn?

Don your bravest mettle, for this big battle,

Will so test us all in, our very will to live on.

Hate is not a foil, to those of evil destruction.

Love is not a loss, under every threat of end.

But what is most abundant, in our true hearts,

Is the strength to carry on, right from the start.

And how we do that, is by now returning to it,

Rewinding to a time, when our wicks were lit,

Before the fire went out, before the bad doubt,

Before the deadening, of mighty mission now.

Otherwise, there is no point in even moving on.

Only the righteous of spirit, will so hang on in.

Only the ones who do it, for a higher holy hand,

Will be those left standing, strongly undaunted.

For our love is evergreen, even on coldest peak.

Our will to live pure, falters not now for peace.

Our stillness is a testament, to our old resolve,

As we stand hand-in-hand, forever so absolved.

Your Younger Years

Looking back now, does it still seem like you?

Does that person from the past, still ring true?

Or are we just living in a, simulation universe,

Where our memories are but, simple verses?

Looking forward, is it all a fog of possibilities?

Does anything turn out, how thought it to be?

Or are we living in a daydream, on high seas,

Forever adrift, on meaningless tide of dreams?

Looking inward, can you find that seed anew?

Can you remember, who you wanted to be now?

Will you decide, to double back down on it all?

And return to your former self, before the fall?

Looking outward, are the people just figments?

Is everything you ever experienced, just a dream?

Is it all taking place inside, of your mind alone?

Is it time to revise, what we know of as home?

Your younger years, may have never really been.

Your latter years, are just a feather on the wind.

Your only matter to deal with today, is at hand,

For the vanes of reality, ever shift with the sands.

Streets of Ease (Heaven For Hire)

There was once a day, not very long ago,

When one was free then to come and go,

When times were still tough, but yet still.

We were still all human enough, to know,

That things would always, soon get better,

Before year’s end, a bend, and we’d jettison,

On to the next letter, of life’s long alphabet.

But best laid plans, have now changed bets.

Today the way is paved long, with red flags,

With pitfalls and prejudices, on toward all,

That were designed, by evil, devious intent,

To undermine the humanity, in grace’s fall.

Now what the future holds, is just up to us,

It is the people’s decree, to seek out justice,

Not the will of those, who would hide out,

No power to the pulpit, of shadow’s doubt.

So be brave in your resolve and patience all,

For the angels of our ancestors, are on call,

Ready to rally and resist, against darkness,

As the world awakens, to a new dawn next,

And then one morning, in the near distance,

A drumbeat will herald, in the Sun’s rebirth,

As we reunite with one heart, to rise together,

And rout the rejects of God, to ends of Earth.

Streets of ease, we have every reason to release.

Every season, of this life, is precious in the least,

Every need, every desire, every heart so on fire:

We but lack the higher order, of a Heaven for hire.

Meet Me In The Middle

We may fiddle, with the riddle,

We may dabble, in the babble,

We may bumble, under rubble,

We may stumble, over trouble,

We may hedge, our best bets,

We may short, our last jests,

We may sabotage, every cost,

We may labor over, every loss,

We may circumvent, bad ends,

We may learn to vent, to friends,

We may turn cheek, to keep peace,

We may learn to be, in one league,

We may turn and stand, we may bend,

We may burn or repent, or so defend,

We may rise above, we may fall so low,

We may tie it down, in the undertow …

We may wonder more on how to sound,

We may summon something new now,

We may remember we are of one seed,

We may return to whom we all will be …

We may not see eye-to-eye, in the lies,

We may not hold hand-in-hand in time,

But what we can do is keep faith in line,

One day will come unity to the climb …

So meet me in the middle for our own sake,

We need some healing on both sides today,

The past is gone and the future never was,

All that belongs to us now is everlasting us.

A Familiar Stranger

You come into focus, then I remember you,

Even though we never met, never had a clue,

We would one day cross, one day catch up too,

One day reminiscing on, what we never knew …

Look into my eyes, you will see someone true,

Someone who came before, reminding you of,

Something so universal, about how we all love,

How we all want to be at peace, with all above …

Then we part our ways, and you reflect back on,

The synchronicity seeming, to be at play with us,

Because we are all one, we are all from one well,

Perpetually rising up from, the depths of ourselves …

We Were Where We Were

Hold fast for nothing is new

Some just cast a shadow or two

But nothing ever passes unensued

As all become forever renewed

Low roll the dice all along

Slowly unfolding life’s long song

Some never see how history repeats

For it always seems so revealing …

But we were … Where we were …

Where we were ….

For where there’s fire …

There’s sure to be burns …

And we change … Just to remain …

Living by the same old reigns …

More at home with the rain …

Where we were … We were …

Where we were …

We were … Where we were

Where we were …

No we’ll never change our ways

We’re too lost in our grains

At a loss for words to explain

Why we always end up the same …

So we stumble on into these days

We never fail to fumble with Fate

New or old ever we wake up erased

For Dawn keeps forever reframing …

Your Chance Is Now

You may lose your way, in the middle of all the madness,

You may find someday, it all came at the cost of sadness,

You may judge yourself, you may judge everybody else,

But the day you die, you will learn it was all a lie, unless,

You come to grips with the reality, reason has no rhyme,

You shrug off the hardships to learn, to live is to realize,

What is good and what is pure is, what is sure to thrive,

But what is wrong and wrought with ire, will undermine.

Everything that you ever thought, was so true growing up,

Everything that you ever so caught, in a brimming full cup:

Even if you trick yourself, into believing, this is all there is,

You will wind up delivered, into kneeling, before the crypt.

It is time for all to live up, to the challenge of remembrance.

There is space for everybody, to find, that place in the past,

Long before you were born, when we, were all of one kind,

When then was now, and tomorrow shouldered, every brow.

Eternal friends will never be forgotten, in the onslaught of it.

Determined are we who forsake fear, for the wick staying lit.

Earthly are our brethren who beckon us, to abandon all loss.

Divine is every angel, who seconds every call, to rise on aloft.

Wicked are those who summon, their inner foes to trip you up,

But ticking are their hearts to the beat, of the beasts of bad luck,

For those that fall, will one day recall, where the track truly led,

And everyone, who just once repents, will sing the song undead.

So try to forget your animal instincts, in the fray of the surreal,

When all seems lost, and all is at stake, in any season so unreal,

For the time is now, and the chance is then, to make up with fate,

As we fall in line, with the dance of destiny’s date, so deliberate.

Ashes Over Ipperwash

Open your eyes child, you have yet to walk,

You have yet to see, you have yet now to talk,

You have yet to dream, upon clouds beyond,

You have yet to live, for life awaits us along …

Now there is nothing, but freedom to sing,

Nothing, but a world, to explore everything,

Nothing, but a chance, to do your own thing,

Nothing, but a gift, a dance upon a string …

And in the middle, there is a beat, a big bend,

A quiet, in the eye of the storm, of reflection,

As well as a casting forward, toward the end,

To tell the future, while remembering before …

But all things wind on, toward oblivion in time,

As the sunset of our lives, flickers on the rise.

And so be it we must follow, the order of life …

First we fly, then we fold, back into the light.

So close your lids then, little one grown old,

Time to fly back, to whence you so unfolded,

Back to before birth, when once in time did,

The future you, the past you, stand reunited …

Ashes over Ipperwash, wash us of our sins …

We all come up clean, ever end up undone.

In the earthly churn, the worldly whirlwind,

Inevitably all will bend back down into One …

Turn Fear Upside Down

If ever you were too tired to walk it off,

If ever you were too wired to worry not,

If ever you dragged your feet in failure,

If ever your ragged edges frayed further,

Whether or not you ever got a chance then,

Whether or not you ever lost every friend,

Whether you fell or whether you fired off,

Whether you were foiled or so torn to dust,

Loved are the ones who choose to try more,

Fortunate are the sons, who strive so forlorn,

For those who once withered, will soon soar,

Those who once weathered, will soon score,

Every time there comes a valley, so hills rise,

Every time there comes a wall, open new skies,

Every time there seems no help at all, in sight,

Those are the times there arises, a new flight,

Every day that you think, the edges draw nigh,

Every hour that you surmise, an end runs on by,

Every minute that you alight, from courage now,

Those are the moments to turn fear, upside down.

Sphinx (2007-2020)

Sphinx (2007-2020)

It seems like … Yesterday …

You said, you’d … Seen the Sphinx …

And ever, since … You’ve never …

Been … … The … … Same … … …

But I will, always, call to you …

You will, always hear, your name …

Every day, you come, to life …

Will be, every chance, you take …

Oooo … … Didn’t You, Didn’t You …

Lose Yourself, In Those Lion’s, Sublime Eyes … .. …?

Annhilation, Of … The, Soul …

Destruction … Of … The … Mind …

And now you, now you, cast about …

In old, hieroglyphics, looking blindly …

For a, solution to … the world …

And all its … Corrupted goods …

Oooo … … Didn’t You, Didn’t You …

Lose Yourself, In Those Lion’s, Sublime Eyes … .. …?

Annhilation, Of … The, Soul …

Destruction … Of … The … Mind …

(Spoken Word Bridge)

“Past the river,

I came across a stone cat of prey,

With eyes so penetrating,

I grew greatly afraid,

“And then my mind went blank,

and I forgot my very own name,

Let alone the point in being, doing

—or staying the same,

“And I began to tremble,

shedding the skin of former identities,

To see newness in nothing at all,

except newer ones’ older endings,

“And I realized we’ve been enslaved,

by a twisted motive’s evil tendrils,

Stupidly duped into cosmic coups,

by our maker’s flogging flails.

“So I stumbled about the desert,

deaf and dumb, in time’s song,

Sent on a high arc,

toward spiritual annihilation,

“And I was blinded down,

by a noon sun’s swords,

Feeling around for a foot-hold,

in life’s pyramid to climb over,

“And when I reached the peak,

my vision returned to me,

And I could see for eternity,

in every direction of the dream,

“And I wondered,

‘How had I come to be here even,

And what day was it

–of what century or dimension?’

“And then I walked across the dunes,

with a dark heart on my shoulder,

And my heavy head lost in my hands,

and my story lost in its overture,

“And I was alone and in trouble,

returning to a vulnerable underworld,

Shakily making last stands

between walls more wondrous born.

“And reaching out for hope anywhere,

trying to remember who I was,

Before the world went down,

and the universe lost its importance,

“My better days only began to grow

more distantly difficult to resolve,

Until untying knots proved more tenuous,

than just cutting them out,

“And then the world went black,

and I woke up in a hospital bed,

With a young nurse beaming over me,

visibly breathless,

“And I tried to move my hands,

but my body was paralyzed,

Except for my eyes,

to witness life taken for granted,

“And soon it dawned on me,

and began sinking in deeply,

That while my mind had

finally been freed from me,

“I’d wiped the slate clean,

at a cost too expensive to keep,

Or the coldest conscience

could ever sensibly decree.

(Chorus Outro)

Oooo … … Didn’t You, Didn’t You …

Lose Yourself, In Those Lion’s, Sublime Eyes … .. …

Annhilation, Of … The, Soul …

Destruction … Of … The … Mind …

Moving Forward

There is, always …
Some, light …
At the crest …
Of the highway …

There is always …
Some, sign …
When it’s high time …
To slide sideways …

There is, always …
Some drive, inside …
To do, what’s right …
When, falls night …

There is, always …
Some, secret life…
That lives, to fight …
For, what’s right …

And I, believe … … …
All, will, be, made, good …
All, will, be, kept, tight …
In, due, time, in sun-shine …

And I, believe … … …
All, will, be, made, true …
Despite, what’s, new …
Despite, old, blues …

So stand up, for yourself …
Seek not, someone, else …
Leave this, world, like you …
Would have, chosen, to do …

If you were, in charge, of this …
Existence, what would you, pick …?
What, would, you, choose, to do …?
In reality, with, nothing, to lose …?

In command, of that, final beam …
In control, of that, ultimate, dream …
Inside, the mind, of your, own, needs …
Never, forgetting, those, old, creeds …?

Right is, wrong, when we, conspire …
To lose, our way, along, those wires …
Why must we, so, stray, from ways …?
We used to be, so full, of change …

I now, declare, that I no, longer, care …
To be, the victim, of my own, wares …
To be, the criminal, against, my fares …
To be, the treasonous, one, who dares …

I now, resolve to be, the one, who solves …
To be, that one who, delivers, to oneself …
What which, has been, so long, on, the shelf …
What which, has been, so long, out, on call …

I now, refuse to see, what I used to, build to be …
What I used, to construct: Walls around, us all …
What I used, to destroy: Now uplift, I to clouds …
I and those, whom I love, now will, all, rebuff …

We refuse, all those years, of pain, and loss …
We reject, all those times, never, living, up …
We resent, all those, ages, we, fell, so short …
We resign, to being, of a kind, moving forward …

Yesterday Was Just A Stage

So beside, the basic fact that, we fell in love, with old winter,

Inside of doors, we were now, and forevermore, so unsure …

Sure seems, like it’s all, planned until, falling, into reverse,

First we fly, but then we crawl, over our walls, now in turn …

In terms, of what is true or not, it matters all, what we do want,

For why we burn, for another’s urn, is sure to turn out, earned …

But when we stall, for our worth, we work it out, with the hurt,

With the hurdles, come the callings, failings, twisting, to work …

Words and bells, and wishing wells, will ring out loud, unburden,

Their own shells, into the fields, under the stars, into the universe …

Certain signs, will come and find, you startled by, all winking eyes,

Sizing up, every crossroads now, you will begin to finish, your life …

With every step, new beginning, fresh rejoinder, to darkened chorus,

Best we hurdle, into the night, than watch the lights, go out tonight,

Tired and weary, are those without bearing, without meaning, daring,

Without caring, we fall away, from the beating heart, of our purpose …

Because, Everything Being Equal … We might as well all be free …

Yesterday was just a stage, every day, is a new chance, to redeem …

Everything, Being Equal … We might as well all, fly for the fence …

We might as well, go down, with fists held high, for common sense …

Everything Being Equal … We might as well all be free …

Yesterday, just a stage, every days, a chance, to redeem …

Yesterday, just a stage, every day, a chance, to redeem …

Yesterday, just a stage, every day a chance … to redeem …

Always Someone

There’s Always Someone Right Here

Salvation is the sovereign reign

of someone in a fallen refrain

refining what it’s like now to lay

down for the values you do save

Settle in on one vision intended

Set your sights on one sin united

Just to be ourselves for now on all

For it’s been so long since the fall …

Yes There’s Always Someone, Right Over Here …

A Third Man standing down, now on an old pier …

A Second Sun planning on, soon so appearing …

As we endear ourselves, to all farflung fears …

Tear down the stars, despite your tears

Hear your own faults, with steely ears

Here is your fault line, here is the year

With so far to fall yet, forever unclear …

Why it matters, is why it comes, to tatters

These patterns, are past proof, of all fetters

For we refuse, to leave these nooses, behind

Forever unwinding, these lines, of the blind …

Yes There’s Always Someone, Right Over Here …

A Third Man standing down, now on an old pier …

A Second Sun planning on, soon so appearing …

As we endear ourselves, to all farflung fears …

Lost It To The Wind (Forever Lasting)

So we got it again, we got that same old plan,
A bend in the wind, a mending for the damned,
Damn we wish it wasn’t so, yet we go it alone,
No it wasn’t fate we hit that date to the bone …

Bow down to the Maker, or maybe you will later,
Or maybe someday, we’ll need less of the fakers,
Fate or folly, fall what may along please, no refrain,
These old days, were made up of such needless pain …

One Day I Lost It … To The Wind … … … One day afraid, One Day I Costed Out … All I Had At Last … Come to pass … Contemplate what you have lately, is it ever going to last?
Long as we have hope, hold on to all you know, everlasting …

So. Everlasting … Forever Lasting … Let Go Of Fear, Now … Let It Go … Let Your True Self, Know … What you lack is, less than, you know … What you love is, more than you, could ever truly show, we know … We Love You .. We second, your best … Better believe, now … Confess …

Everlasting … Forever Lasting … Let Go Of Fear … Now … Let It Go … Everlasting … Forever Lasting … Let Go Of Fear … Now … Let It Go … Forever … Lasting … Forever Lasting … Let Go Of Fear … Let It Go … Everlasting … Forever Lasting … Everlasting … Forever Lasting …
