The flames were licking my face
as I gazed over the human race
every trace of humanity was gone
and all the rights worsened the wrongs
Bonfire you’ve gone higher
than we ever expected
here burning down
there churning up
and when you’re done with us
will there be any left of it?
I tried to place these visions I had seen
into perspective with our earlier dreams
But everything blurred into obscurity
as the future turned into history
